We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Adoption team. The Adoption team is one of three pillars to Receipt Bank’s Product function, delivering increased usage of our product by our Partners and Clients, increasing user numbers and activity within each account and also assisting with bring new products and features to market. Achieving excellence by our billing function is the key to ensuring that increased activity corresponds to increased revenue – correctly invoiced, reconciled and settled, via the user’s choice of payment method with minimal friction. The role will report into the Director of Adoption and will work closely with the Engineering teams.
The role - what you’ll do:
Build up a complete understanding of our sales and billing processes, across our different user channels (Advisors/Partners and Direct Clients) and highlight ways in which these can be practically improved and streamlined from a billing systems perspective
Use this understanding to assess, design and build an automated billing process for our Partner based revenue – replacing the existing, partial, human touch billing/invoicing process with a self-serve process. Deliver the architecture to allow any user to action and “self-serve” their desire to upgrade/downgrade product selection – with seamless invoicing and billing
Enable the environment that a user (Partner or Direct client) can select their payment method of choice – credit/debit card or direct debit, as well as chose their ideal payment date
Be aware of the ever changing regulatory payments landscape and how this impacts Receit Bank – becoming the centre of excellence on billing
Ensure that all legacy billing platforms and processes are fit for purpose and remaining in working order
Ensure we never miss the production of an invoice and the resulting payment. Work with the Finance team to automate daily reconciliations and investigate billing issues if needed
Work closely with the Engineering team on requirements and capabilities to achieve Billing Excellence, scoping out current and future product and process enhancements
Maintain a prioritised backlog of scoped work & ideas and balance custom work against speed and cost of implementation
Act as the key conduit between Sales (Head of Sales Operations), Finance (Financial Systems Ops Manager) and Marketing and other stakeholders, in order to scope work for the Engineering team to deliver to allow the business to scale its users, whilst billing efficiently
Develop business systems strategies, agreeing investment and enhancing relationships with key internal stakeholders and external software partners.
About you - what we are looking for:
Stakeholder management experience with the ability to balance delivering custom processes versus out-of-the-box options
Demonstrable experience of working within a similar role in a fast-paced, high growth technology (ideally SaaS) business
Experience in Project Management, ideally on projects managing 3rd party vendors and in-house development teams
Strong working experience of Stripe would be an advantage
Prior experience of enabling eCommerce and optimising the online checkout journey would be a big plus.
Prior experience working with:
NetSuite, Salesforce, Billing Central, and / or HubSpot all highly desirable
Stripe, GoCardless, Ezidebit and other 3rd party payment providers.
